Rose Freedman Photography

I'm not transactional. I'm not hard to work with. And I'll never be the photographer who blows up your timeline.

My couples are design-forward and intentional. They've thought carefully about what they want and don't need it replicated from a reference board. They want imagery that feels effortless and refined. The result is a gallery that looks like their wedding, not everyone else's.

I work quietly through most of the day, offer gentle direction during portraits, and coordinate directly with your team in the weeks before the wedding — site visits, timeline calls, whatever it takes. I flag anything that affects photography time early — not the morning of. Nothing falls through the cracks because I make sure of it before we get there.

I take a limited number of weddings each year — intentionally. Every couple on my calendar gets my full attention, not a fraction of it.

Send an email and receive a custom proposal within 24 hours. No call required, though one is always available if you'd like. A signed contract and retainer secures your date. (Proposals sent Monday–Friday.)

I send a questionnaire to the couple covering priorities, family groupings, and key moments. I'll loop you in on anything that affects the day's flow.

Photography timeline call with the couple. I coordinate directly with your team to make sure everything is aligned before the day.

I arrive early, work quietly, and check in with you throughout the day as needed. You run the day, I support it.

"I hired Rose for a couple's wedding and she completely delivered. I shared the vision and she ran with it. She has an eye for detail that captures more than what people expect. I can't wait to work with her again."

Weddings, elopements, and engagements throughout the San Francisco Bay Area — City Hall, Marin, Napa, Sonoma, and beyond. I also offer Super 8 film as an add-on, which is something couples and planners have responded to strongly.

Average investment: $12,000. Custom proposals available.

How would you describe your style?

Frequently Asked Questions

A film-inspired, editorial eye for portraits and a guided approach to everything else. I work quietly through most of the day and offer gentle direction when it's just the two of you.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD WE CONNECT?

As early as possible — even before a couple has inquired. I'm always happy to meet for matcha, get on a call, or answer questions before there's a client involved.

Do you offer custom proposals?

Yes. Every wedding is different. Send me an email and I'll build a proposal around your specific day.

How do you work with planners?

I stay in close communication with your planning team from the start. Two weeks before the wedding, I'll reach out to align on the photography timeline and coordinate any logistics — I'm also happy to do a site visit if that's helpful. On the day, I'm easy to reach and available for anything that comes up.

Do you have backup equipment?

Yes. I shoot dual card slot and carry backup camera bodies and lenses to every wedding.
