Calli + Caleb | SF City Hall Wedding

Calli and Caleb didn’t need a big wedding. They needed the right people, the right light, and a day that felt like them.
That’s exactly what they got.
City Hall
San Francisco City Hall is one of the most photographed wedding venues in the country, and for good reason. The Beaux-Arts rotunda, the grand staircase, the marble and gold — it’s architecture that does the work for you. But what makes a City Hall wedding feel special isn’t the building. It’s the decision to keep things small enough that everyone in the room actually matters.
Calli and Caleb had that. Close friends, family — the people who have been there from the beginning. In a space as grand as City Hall, an intimate gathering feels even more significant. Like the building was built just for this moment.
After the Ceremony
After the ceremony, we took the party somewhere completely unexpected: the Photobooth Museum.
If you haven’t been, it’s exactly what it sounds like — a museum dedicated entirely to the history and art of the photo booth, with working vintage booths you can actually use. For a couple who wanted their wedding day to feel fun and a little unconventional, it was perfect. The strips of photos that came out of those booths are going to be some of their most treasured mementos from the day.
It’s also a genuinely great photography location. The light, the colors, the textures — I’d go back with any couple.
Super 8
We also captured Calli and Caleb’s wedding day on Super 8 film. If you’ve never seen a Super 8 wedding reel, watch the one below — it captures something that still photography alone can’t. The warmth, the movement, the feeling of a day actually unfolding. It’s one of my favorite things to offer couples, and days like this one are exactly why.
