There are weddings you photograph and weddings you feel. Peyton and Jared’s wedding at Park Winters was the latter.

About 100 of their closest people gathered on the property in June — mostly family, and colleagues from their medical residency. Two doctors who have spent years showing up for other people at their hardest moments, finally taking a day to let people show up for them.

The warmth in the room was palpable from the moment I arrived.

The Details

Park Winters does something special with light. The oak trees, the golden fields, the soft California summer — it creates an atmosphere that feels timeless and unhurried. Peyton and Jared leaned into it completely. Nothing about the day felt rushed or performative. It felt like exactly what a wedding should be: people who love each other, in a beautiful place, surrounded by the people who matter most.

The bouquet deserves its own paragraph. I don’t say this lightly — it was one of the most extraordinary bridal bouquets I’ve ever seen. Pink anthuriums, cascading white phalaenopsis orchids, ranunculus, amaranthus trailing down, sweet peas. Lush and tropical and completely unexpected. Shot on film, the tones were something else.

The Vows

I’ll be honest — I cried.

Jared’s father had passed away, and his vows carried the weight of that loss in the most tender, honest way. As someone who has also lost a father-in-law, I felt every word. That’s the thing about photographing weddings for a living: sometimes a moment reaches through the camera and finds you personally. This was one of those moments.

Peyton and Jared are the kind of couple who love quietly and deeply. Their guests felt it. I felt it. It’s in every frame from that day.
